Subperiosteal haematoma of the iliac bone is an extremely uncommon clinical entity, however nonetheless can cause leg pain and weakness, most commonly in adolescent patients with a recent history of sporting injury or other trauma. Many of these lesions spontaneously resolve. However they may also become chronic and ossify.
